While on the subject, 2007 you just have to be at Womad, the weather always seems to be just perfect this time of year, and the Music was just awesome, but more than that its the cultural mix that is so wonderful, the different age groups, the colorful people, food, everything was simply magic, I certainly hope you can all join us for such a fantastic event. |
| What can I say about the foreshore project, except brilliant -10 points New Plymouth District Council, it may have been 24 years in the coming, but when it got here it was a popular choice, and much loved by the people. |

Rivermouth Ah the stunning weather, and around every corner the light is different, note the shades of silver reflecting off walkway wall, a popular walk this is for man and dog.
Coastal Walkway
A group were taking a walk on the walkway, in peak hour walking traffic, you know the road rules -- keep to the leftJpopular also is the walkway for feet on wheels, on the far right I bumped into a lovely couple of ladies all the way from America on Holiday.
Well thats it folks for today, a walk on the foreshore, a bit of fresh air and sunshine and home to dinner.

Where the river meets the sea, is a popular place to be, with seats, a children's playground, and the bridge is for Trains, yes the old railway bridge, I waved to a railway bloke as he drove over, but was not quick enough to capture the photo of him [he was in a train of course].
love Romance is in the air, and I caught the young couple above in the middle of sweet whisperings, hi again guys. The old sea wall is a favourite place for all the seagulls, and funnily enough, do you notice that they all face the same wayJ maybe someone will miss out on something,
Check out the neat building on the left on top of the cliff face which lends itself to a bit of photography
From Europe Now the foreshore is a popular place for couples as you will note, on the right holding hands, ah to be young and in love eh? Meet the people all the way from Wales above, I took a photo of them with the mountain in the background, so now they are also in a photograph on the foreshore, did I mention that you can also see the mountain from the foreshore, well its a bit of a neck twister looking through the buildings, but if you want to venture to Devon street there is the mountain in all its glory.
BACK TO THE WINDWAND.

Coastal Walkway
Heading around the corner the city shops are in sight, Devon street incidentally runs parallel with the foreshore, so you can jump of the walkway and into a favorite cafe in minutes.
