Turning into Pembroke Road
from Stratford, our Mighty Mountain will greet you in all its glory.
This winter day was more than a tempting time to visit.

The
flora begins to change as we start climbing and the bush becomes lush
on both sides of the ice covered road its not long until we pass the
Mountain house. |

SNAPPED!
Upon
reaching Maunganui Car park, the vista is breathtaking as we can see
clear across the country to Mountains in the centre of the Island
including Tongariro and Ruapehu
|

SNAPPED!
In
the Maunganui car park I bump into Gus and Annette with them are Chad
Niwa, Tayler Morgan and Mace Harwood.

Nick Hooper and Amy Flint
were visiting Taranaki and come from Auckland, in the province
for a quick visit they happen to think that we have a Beautiful
Mountain and a lovely region. |
