SANG THE NIGHT AWAY, AS THE LIGHT OF THE 45 METRE WINDWAND WAS TURNED ON FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER BEING AWAY FOR 18 MONTHS BEING REPAIRED, THE RETURN OF THE WINDWAND CELEBRATES THE BIRTHDAY OF THE FAMOUS LEN LYE, AND HIS ARTWORKS ARE NOW ON DISPLAY AT THE GOVETT BREWSTER ART GALLERY NEW PLYMOUTH. THE FAMOUS TARANAKI WINDWAND MAJESTICALLY GRACES THE FORESHORE, SWAYING WITH THE WHISPER OF THE MOST GENTLE OF BREEZES. AMONGST THE FOLLOWING IMAGES IS ONE OF THE WINDAND LIGHT SHINING IN THE FIRST FEW SECONDS OF NEW LIFE.
