I frequently plant flowers to help attract bees for pollination of most plants, this year I am using the golden goblin chrysanthemum

My home away from home, the venerable potting shed with all the bits and pieces, note the wonderful wooden bench and window that gets morning sun, my seed germination area.

My favorite tools, bits of bamboo, fantastic for keeping birds and cats away from seedlings, or areas that have seeds sown straight into the ground.

The trusty exercise book, a must for any kitchen gardener, keep a record of what you sow and when, along with garden results, trust me this is the best tool in the garden shed  (:

Left....carrot seedlings with bamboo, great for keeping the birds out and knowing where the seeds are sown.

Right...the fence garden note the bamboo for carrot and parsley rows behind the lettuce.

A chive patch ready and waiting to be divided up and given to friends, these chives have  been growing for 2 years in the same spot

Capsicum just coming to life and sending out new summer shoots, never treat your capsicum like and annual, it is a hardy perennial, stake plants well at all times.

This area of the garden is built up and in the walking rows is my compost worm farm,, I used to have a separate worm farm to the garden, not any more, the compost worms thrive here.

Peas just starting to come into flower the wire netting frame makes a fantastic stable home for peas, note the trusty bits of bamboo (:

The thyme plant was huge and overgrown 6 weeks ago, I cut it back right to the ground and look at it now, note all perennial herbs must be cut back every year, especially mint.

My green liquid tea, take one rubbish bin with lid, cut up new leaf growth  from tips of trees and shrubs, put in bin and fill with water stir every few days for 2 weeks.

After 2 weeks sieve through muslin and you have the most fantastic liquid fertilizer, water down to weak tea color and soak onto the whole garden with watering can.

Parsley and varying stages of lettuces, which I germinate every two months, note the broccoli plant in the middle of the parsley, I plant anything anywhere there is space..

Bamboo is fantastic for propping up broccoli, two stakes and they never move an inch, put the stakes in the plants are about 30cm tall, you will never regret doing this.
