Taranaki Multi Ethnic Extravaganza  is an annual event run by volunteers. Starting with a main street parade through New Plymouth with colourful and vibrant participants. The parade then moves to Yarrow Stadium for the main event of  food stalls,  arts and crafts stalls, and most importantly a wonderful day of Multi Ethnic stage events, the music and dancing from different countries is so wonderful, a stage is erected in front of the grandstand which has seating for thousands..  This event is so amazingly entertaining for everyone
